Having started sailing and working on boats from a young age Neil was drawn to careers within the marine industry, including working as Fleet Rigger at the ‘Challenge Business’ and on the 2004 Global Challenge round the world yacht race.
The final step before setting up Hemisphere Rigging Services in 2005 was the alteration of a 72ft Challenge Yacht to enable Dee Caffari to become the first woman to successfully circumnavigate the globe westabout, single handed. We are proud to still work with and support Dee in a number of her current projects and campaigns.
In addition to Neil, the Hemisphere team encompasses: Jason Haswell, who has worked in the Plymouth marine trade for the last 15 years, and been an integral member of our team for the last 10. Nathan Goodland, with a background as a qualified dinghy instructor, he has grown up in the industry. Edward Horler - our newest team member, a keen sailor who is usually found cycling into work (on sunny days.)
The shore-based crew members are Becky Williams & Dani Kelly – who handle the day to day running of the office and customer relations – you may find them lending a hand outside, but only when it’s sunny! And finally, Captain Hook – who handles all HR matters!
